Starting his impressive career as a boy soprano he also studied at the Victorian College of the Arts and Queensland University, where he performed roles such as Tamino (Die Zauberflote) and Don Jose (Carmen)
As a young Artist with Opera Queensland he performed the role of Ruiz in ll Trovotore, and later under contract with Opera Australia was selected to perform several roles including Steva (Jenufa) and Gabriele Ardorno (Simon Boccanegra) …During this time he was a finalist in the prestigious Royal Covent Garden Scholarship which enabled him to study and perform other major operatic roles in Germany and the UK including the title role in Tales of Hoffman
Upon returning to Australia, Roger diversified his talents and co-founded “The Ten Tenors” and performed with them for three years. After leaving the Ten Tenors, Roger used his considerable entrepreneurial skills in forming his own production/entertainment company Vavachi Entertainment, which has since been delighting audiences around the world and supporting young emerging artists for over 16 years with well received performances in PNG, Fiji, The Maldives and Australia.
